Choose Your Fruit Direction

Our custom peelable gummy range starts with mango, banana and other fruit concepts. Compare the fruit identity, peeling experience and packaging needs before settling on a specification.

Mango Peelable Gummies

Build a mango-led product around a recognizable fruit shape and your preferred flavor profile. Review the outer layer and center together so the peeling experience supports the product concept.

Selection focus: mango shape, flavor profile and peel separation.

Banana Peelable Gummies

Develop a banana-shaped gummy with the peeling action included in the product brief. Sample evaluation should consider how the outer layer separates and how the center holds its shape during handling.

Selection focus: banana shape, peeling action and center texture.

Other Fruit Peelable Gummies

Explore peach, lychee, pineapple or grape directions for a broader fruit range. Develop a single-fruit concept or discuss an assortment, with each selected fruit reviewed for shape, flavor and peelable structure.

Selection focus: fruit selection, individual product differences and assortment planning.

These are custom production directions. Final specifications and packaging are agreed for each project. Fruit names describe the product concept; ingredients and fruit juice content depend on the approved recipe.

The Peel Is Part of the Product

Peelable gummy candy has an outer gummy layer designed to separate from the center. Its appeal comes from the interaction between the layers, as well as the fruit shape and flavor.

A fruit-shaped gummy is not automatically peelable. The separation between the outer layer and center needs to be considered when evaluating the product.

Gummy format Main experience What to compare
Solid gummy Typically eaten as one piece Overall chew, shape and surface texture
Center-filled gummy A gummy body surrounding a filling The contrast between the body and filling
Peelable gummy An outer layer that separates from the center Peel separation, layer integrity and the texture of each part

Use this comparison to define the experience you want. A filled center and a peelable outer layer are different product features and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Develop the Candy and Packaging Together

1 A recognizable shape needs a workable peel

A product can look convincing in a photograph while delivering a different experience in hand. Include peel separation, surface tackiness and the condition of the center in sample evaluation. We coordinate the custom product brief and sample discussions with the manufacturing partner.

2 Recipe decisions affect packaging copy

A flavor name does not establish ingredient content or a dietary claim. We coordinate flavor, specification, label and brand-file discussions so product decisions can be reflected in the packaging brief.

3 The pack needs to fit the sales channel

A sharing pouch, a portion pack and a display carton serve different purposes. We bring packaging format, net weight and order requirements into the discussion alongside the candy, rather than leaving them until artwork is finished.

Compare Packaging Routes

Choose packaging according to how the product will be displayed, sold and consumed. The formats below are planning routes to discuss during packaging feasibility review.

Packaging route Useful for Main trade-off
Retail pouch A standalone retail product or sharing pack Net weight, opening style and any reseal feature need to work together
Small portion pack Controlled portions, giveaways or event distribution Smaller portions create more individual packs and may increase packaging work and material use
Display carton with inner packs Counter displays and organized retail replenishment Inner-pack quantity, carton dimensions and artwork need to be planned together

Product quantity and printed-packaging minimums may differ. Pack construction, print requirements, net weight and carton configuration all affect the quotation and production plan.

Peelable Gummy Buying Guide

What should I compare when reviewing samples?

Review the complete piece, the peeling action and the center after separation. Look at whether the outer layer lifts in the intended way, whether either part tears unexpectedly, and whether pieces stick together during normal handling.

Taste the outer layer and center separately as well as together. Use the approved sample and agreed specification as references for the order discussion, rather than relying on product photographs alone.

What ingredients and nutrition facts apply?

There is no single recipe for every peelable gummy. The gelling system, sweetening ingredients, flavorings, colors and other ingredients depend on the selected formulation.

Use the information for the exact recipe you are considering. For nutritional comparisons, check serving size and compare calories, total sugars and added sugars on the same basis. A retail pack may contain more than one serving. See the FDA guide to understanding the Nutrition Facts label.

Can I request sugar-free, vegan, organic or natural-color versions?

These are separate formulation or sourcing requirements, rather than automatic features of peelable gummies. Each request needs a feasibility review before availability or a label claim can be confirmed.

Include the specific requirement at the beginning of the discussion. Changing the sweetening or gelling system can also change the texture, so the final product needs to be evaluated as a complete formulation.

How should I assess allergen information?

Fruit shapes and flavor names do not establish allergen suitability. Review the full ingredient list, allergen information and relevant manufacturing cross-contact information for the exact product.

Do not assume a product is suitable for a child with allergies because it is fruit-flavored or made to a custom brief. For US labeling guidance, refer to the FDA’s food allergen labeling information.

How do I compare wholesale quotations?

Compare quotations against the same product and packaging specification. Match the recipe, net weight, pack format, carton quantity and order volume before judging the unit price.

Also distinguish candy cost from printed packaging, new tooling where applicable, and freight. A lower price per pack does not necessarily mean a lower price for the same quantity of candy or the same packaging scope.

How are minimum orders, timing and shipping agreed?

These conditions are confirmed for the selected product and packaging. Candy production and printed packaging may have different minimum quantities.

The schedule needs to account for feasibility review, sample decisions, artwork approval, production and delivery arrangements. Share your destination and required arrival window early so they can be considered in the order discussion.

Discuss Your Peelable Gummy Project

Share your fruit direction, packaging idea, estimated quantity and destination market. We can use these details to discuss custom production, packaging feasibility and the next steps for your private label order.

Include your preferred fruit or flavor, pack format, target net weight, estimated quantity and any specific formulation requirements.
